What does SHAP3D do?
SHAP3D makes physical architectural models from floorplans. We are based in Perth, Western Australia, and deliver across Australia.
Who are the models for?
You can use a model to look at your own home plans, discuss a design with clients or a builder, display a property, or keep a model of your home.
Files & Ordering
What files can I upload?
The upload page accepts PDF, DWG, OBJ, and STL files. For floorplan conversion, use a native vector PDF exported from drawing software rather than a scan or photograph. Contact us if you are unsure whether your files are suitable. Check file requirements →
How do I place an order?
Create an account or sign in, upload your files, then choose your model options on the pricing page. Add the configured model to your cart and complete checkout. Upload your plans →
Can I include furniture or a roof?
Furniture and appliances, window frames and a garage door, and a roof are optional extras in the pricing calculator. You can also choose colours for the printed components. Compare model options →
Can I order a model with more than one storey?
The pricing calculator supports one, two, or three storeys. Contact us about other building types or requirements before ordering.
What if my plans change after ordering?
Contact us as soon as possible. Whether a change can be made depends on how far modelling and printing have progressed. We can discuss the work and any cost involved.
Pricing & Delivery
How much does a printed house model cost?
The base package starts at $100 AUD: $45 for model conversion and $55 for a size 1 house print. The price changes with model size, number of storeys, and optional extras. Check the calculator and your checkout total for your chosen configuration. Use the pricing calculator →
How long will my order take?
Production time depends on the plans, model options, and current workload. Contact us for an estimate, especially if you need the model by a particular date. Postal delivery takes additional time. Ask about a deadline →

Model Details
What scale will my model be?
Scale depends on the dimensions of your floorplan and the model size you select. We scale the plan to fit the selected print footprint. Size 1 has a maximum footprint of 25.5 × 25.5 cm; check the pricing page for larger sizes. See model sizes →
What material do you print with?
We print with PLA filament. The pricing calculator shows the available colour choices for each component.
Does a model replace building plans or a design review?
A model is a visual aid for understanding and discussing a layout. Use your architectural drawings and advice from your designer or builder for dimensions, compliance, and construction decisions.
What if my model arrives damaged or has a problem?
